Right-wing columnist tells conservatives to "get a grip" on Obama's school speech
Dan Calabrese, co-founder of the conservative "North Star Writers Group," and whose work is entirely anti-Obama as you can see in his archive, today says the following about the poutrage from conservatives regarding Obama's scheduled speech to school-children on September 8th:

But, but . . . what if Obama gets inside his mind and turns him into a plodding collectivist? What if he ends up on the playground arguing that the soccer rules should be changed to redistribute goals to each team according to its needs?

Holy crap. Conservatives, I love you, but sometimes you people really need to get a grip.

The president is addressing kids. Big deal. I can remember Gerald Ford asking kids to tell their parents to turn off the lights when we left a room because we all needed to conserve energy or something. We were all supposed to write letters to the president telling him what we were going to do about this. I wrote one. Got a reply, even! It wasn’t from Ford himself, but from some dunderhead who worked for him. Said dunderhead probably sent the same letter to millions of kids.

1. On one had he diffuses one end of dipshittery.
But supports another by insinuating that Obama is a "plodding collectivist"...without pointing out just how ridiculous those accusations really are.

2. I think he does
when he says "What if he ends up on the playground arguing that the soccer rules should be changed to redistribute goals to each team according to its needs?"

Seems the point of that paragraph is the accusations are ridiculous.

3. As long as Obama doesn't read "My Pet Goat", I'm OK with this.
Really, these wingnuts are headed for a collective nervous breakdown.

4. It's a good thing this won't be happening on Sept. 11
If it happens at all, anyway. After all, he might use his hypno-eyes to "indoctrinate" children into his coming New Socialist World Order!!! Geez!!! Get a f*****g grip!!! :eyes:

5. A friend of mine lives in Tipp City Ohio
A little town just north of Dayton. Dubya came and gave a speech at their high school, I believe in 2007. The best part is that they honored the President's visit by renaming a street there the "George W. Bush Parkway". George is long gone, but they still have their own little dedication to the worst President of all time. Kudos Tipp City!
