Did anyone see Ted Kennedy in His Own Words on CNN yesterday?

That was so good I watched it twice! Wow want a fascinating person he was. One thing that really annoyed me though. Barbara Walters asking him is he would encourage his sons and nephews to go into politics...gee, sexist much? Girls can't going into politics? This was probably from the 70s but STILL, it's amazing who attitudes were so backwards even 30 years ago. Teddy answered that he encourages all his neices and nephews in their endeavors.

but in addition to the time frame there was the family pattern of males being in politics and females not being in politics.

2. I saw it a couple of months ago on HBO...wonderful program.

It made me sad about his brother's deaths again.

Loved the quote about Reagan - "Ronald Reagan must love poor people very much. He's created so many more of them."

It's more clear to me than ever why the right wing has always hated him so much...
