Edward Kennedy III announces run for U.S. Senate
Dated Aug. 28

(NECN: Boston, Mass.) - Edward Kennedy III, the grandson of Senator Ted Kennedy, says he is planning to run for U.S. Senator from Massachusetts - in 2044.

"I plan to become the Senator of Massachusetts when I turn 45," says Edward. He is only 11 years old now, and currently lives in New Haven, Connecticut, but says he wants to follow in his grandfather's footsteps.

Edward says although he is sad his grandfather has passed away, he knows he is in a better place. "We should be happy for him that he is with his brothers and sisters in heaven," says Edward. "Not sad because he's not with us. Because when we go to heaven, we'll be with him and it will be one big happy family."

3. Why So Long?
Why doesn't he run in 2030? It would be his Grand-dad's old seat
