Joe Biden - finally a Vice President with a HEART...
did you see him speak about Ted Kennedy from the podium to the press today?

2. It really tore him up
"He’s left a great void in our public life and a hole in the hearts of millions of Americans and hundreds of us who were affected by his personal touch throughout our lives. People like me, who came to rely on him. He was kind of like an anchor. And unlike many important people in my 38 years I’ve had the privilege of knowing, the unique thing about Teddy was it was never about him. It was always about you. It was never about him."

4. It reminded me of how Teddy's voice cracked,
ever so slightly, as he delivered Rober's eulogy.

Watching it again, by another man, just makes it even more heartbreaking...........................

5. He's like the anti-Cheney.
It's bizarre.

Where Cheney was heartless, Biden is empathetic. And where Bush was clueless, Obama is brilliant.

What a difference an election can make.

7. Joe has a huge heart and has always worn it on his sleeve
He is also always been a genuine, emotional person. The part that got to me was Teddy trying to send in Doctors from Mass to help with Joe's kids when they were in the car accident. I love Joe and I will miss Teddy.

9. What a beautiful tribute, and only one of many.
I'm so devastated right now. Mainly because I realize that while RFK and JFK are myths, Teddy is a legend. He didn't rise to the level of fame his brothers did, and that was due to one unfortunate incident that has been shoved down our throats for decades. Instead, I believe he surpassed the greatness of his brothers by slowly tredging on. I could count on him during the dark Bush II years to always, ALWAYS do the right thing, when no one elsse would. Words cannot express how much I love this man, and how much I will miss him. What a fucking year. His loss is the worst, by far.

10. And I love those old pics of TK and Biden right after Biden came
to the Senate after losing his wife and daughter. Biden truly is a VP has a heart.

11. It's good to have a non-battery-powered VP again
That older model was defective.

...Biden showed himself to be a very sensitive person. Nearly in tears. Made me cry.

14. He's a good guy
Haven't heard much from him since he put his foot in his mouth a few times. I guess being VP isn't as freewheeling as being a Senator.

Al and Joe are both incredibly good guys and so far superior to Cheney in every way its not funny.

21. I was really touched by that.
He's real, and I appreciate that. When injustices happen, he gets angry. When sad things happen, he's not too proud to weep.

That's a real man. I'd love to have a beer with him. :patriot:

23. Well, then I would love to have coffee with him!
Or a Coke, or a Japanese bubble tea, or whatever he likes.

I just wanted to convey that he's a man of the people. My kind of people. :)
