On the right and in other places. An occasional face like Feingold gives me hope, but I just feel bereft today.

Thank God for Jon Stewart and Rachel Maddow.

1. Jon Stewart and Rachel Maddow don't create policy
Hence, there is no God.

2. Know what ya mean - I'd like to think some in Congress will be inspired enough...
...to fight harder for a decent healthcare bill ~ we'll see. Most are for sale.

7. "Most are for sale" Exactly. And we must fight them, and then remove them!
In '72, I wrote in my vote.... for Shirley Chisholm. Every passing year, I am more and more proud of that vote.

Her motto: "Unbought and unbossed!"

We so very badly need more Shirley Chisholms!

4. Thom Hartmann said something today about the Kennedys that rung a
bell with me and that explains much of what is wrong with our present batch of so-called leaders. He called it "noblesse oblige", the duty of the rich and powerful to take care of those who are not as fortunate as them. Instead of sitting around their putrid little think tanks trying to figure out how to cheat more and more money out of the poor and working classes, some wealthy and dynastic families like the Kennedys have been ingrained with that duty to give back some and work for the betterment of those not as fortunate as themselves.

This is why someone like Kennedy would work tirelessly to try to get health care for everyone, and mean spirited little men like every Republican in Congress will claim that no one has a human right to health care if they can't afford it. Socialism is evil so if you die because you can't pay for a needed operation, tough and all the really disgusting things are are being said from the right.

6. We've been left in our own hands...
...right where we were yesterday, and will be again tomorrow.

8. Serial killers, thieves and torturers have totally fucked this country and we've lost one of the
greatest warriors in history for the working man, the weak, the poor and I am devastated at the fact that I know not which leaders to trust. I will put my faith in no man. I have confidence in few that remain here to run things and the ones I do have confidence in are in the war of their lives and under attack from every evil angle possible. I think we are about to face much darkness. Man, in posting this, I just realized I'm very depressed. :( My glass looks empty. Think I'll go fill up, iced tea sounds nice.
