I cried in front of my students today...they asked me why over a man I never met
I asked them to raise their hands if they or anyone they knew was disabled...then we talked about the ADA

I then asked them how many of their family memebers worked for minimum wage...and asked about health care...

they got the message that we lost an important voice

You are a teacher, and you seized the day.

Bravissima, Teacher. You did yourself and your profession proud today.

Make sure they know all about him - read this - http://rudepundit.blogspot.com/

Make sure they know everything.

And well done, Teacher...................

6. I did not make it political other than the fact we lost a voice for the common folks
I teach in the highest poverty school in my district and mostly hispanic catholic demographic...

12. I just have seen some of the idiot comments others have written
on forums and news articles - it seems if you liked and/or respected him - then the sh*t flies - I hope you were able to make a impression without recourse from some idiot

Not the best of bills, but the Rethugs wouldn't let us do any better. It has still saved lives and helped millions of Americans.

7. I have one class of Advanced students. After we finished our lesson I turned on the cable
just in time to see Biden...

Goodness that was from the heart.

The students were really involved and interested.

WOW

they started asking all kinds of questions and I wished I had had more time with them.

11. Indeed it was.
Were I still a teacher, I am sure I would have made a point of addressing this moment too, but I am not certain I could do it in as non-partisan a way as you did.

16. Today, I am absolutely certain, YOU were the impactful one!!
(((HUG)))

I feel a persistent dull sense of sadness at the loss of a man who advocated FOR THE COMMON GOOD rather than the interests of the extremely privileged,...and will do so for quite some time. I knew his end was near because my Dad died from the same glioblastoma; so, I was somewhat prepared.

He was a truly remarkable man. I can think of no one whose vision became more rather than less clear after a series of tragedies. Teddy is an example of all the strengths a human can exhibit in the face of adversity. I love him and will miss his presence.
