The Goal: "Quality, affordable health care for every American"

Do the tea baggers or freepers or anyone for that matter disagree with this as The Goal? If all Americans can agree on this one idea it would be a major start. Next is how to get there. Republicans have offered nothing at all to this end. Does what the Democrats offer meet this goal?

1. I'm finding some major problems with the way this whole issue is being

framed and the words being used to frame it. Now I have heard it called health care reform and health insurance reform as if they were one thing, when in fact they are two separate issues. Affordable health care is different than universal health care, yet they are also being presented as one. We are going to have to hold these legislators to the fire to make the wording of the bill that emerges as the one we find acceptable. They are lawyers and they know the wording is key. The corporatists are deliberately changing the wording to swing the issue to one that is corporate friendly to the health care industry. We have to let them know we are on to them. Any corporate friendly health bill will be way too costly for the country, unsustainable in the long run and doomed to fail.

2. They do not agree. Their goal is to reclaim power, by any means necessary.

That means that at all costs they must prevent Democrats from passing any law that would be good for the American people.

Winning is their only goal.
