Time to rename Reagan International Airport
In honor of the service that Ted Kennedy, along with his brothers Joe, John, and Robert, and sisters Eunice and Rose, it's time we change the name of Reagan International Airport back to Kennedy International Airport. We should write our congresspeople and ask them to propose this change in honor of our greatest senator and his family who have done so much for all of us.

We should also propose similar changes to other monuments and highways, and honor a real American hero like Edward Kennedy.

23. Wouldn't that be confusing, what with that other Kennedy airport in NYC?
Maybe they should rename the garden again, or maybe 128.

2. The best shot at renaming an airport would be Logan in Boston,
And if a new building is built for the universal healthcare program, that has to be named for Teddy as well, seems to me.

20. TMK instead of Logan
Logan airport is one of the crappiest airports to fly through. I know this because I have connected there internationally on numerious occassion when I lived in Portland, Oregon. I now live in Atlanta and have no need to connect in Logan. However, before renaming the airport after the late and GREAT Senator Kennedy It think a total remodel of the Terminal is in order. Otherwise you might as well name the Boston area Landfill after him! I also support naming the healthcare bill after Ted, BUT ONLY IF IT HAS A PUBLIC OPTION! With no PUBLIC OPTION naming it after Ted would be a mockery of the great man!

4. Are you sure you have the right airports?
Where is Reagan International Airport? I know of Reagan National Airport in Washington that used to be called National Airport.

Is there another that used to be called Kennedy International Airport?

9. JFK Airport is in New York
Reagan National was simply called Washington National before President Clinton signed legislation changing the name.

5. That may be confusing as there already is...
a Kennedy International Airport in New York City.

And what do you mean "back" to Kennedy International Airport? I don't believe that it was ever called that.

8. Reagan National used to be George Washington National.
It was never named after a Kennedy. It should go back to Washington. Reagan was scum.

10. When was it called George Washington National?
I remember Washington National, but never George Washington National.

Of course, we have a great baseball team here, the George Washington Nationals.

His crappy scandal-ridden "presidentin'" is part of the reason this country is in horrible shape.

13. To the best of my knowledge
DCA (the three letter code for National Airport in Washington) was simply named Washington National Airport when it was built in 1941. I worked there for ten years and do not believe it was ever George Washington Airport.

I absolutely refuse to call it by the name of Reagan, and consider that name a total desecration, especially considering that it was Reagan who fired the air traffic controllers.

It can originate no longer than 2 hour (2.5 hours? flights and none can be international.

22. Not Gonna Happen see Logon
Renaming Reagan is not going to happen. We may disagree with his politics but half of America DOES! Lets focus on renaming Logan (Boston International) after Ted. It was his home states main airport and its fitting it should carry his name after numerous improvements to make it NOT one of the drearest and crappiest airports in the country!

24. No.
Logan was named for a son of Southie and Spanish-American war vet. I think the late senator would be unhappy to have his name usurp Gen. Logan's.

Reagan airport should be renamed Washington National and be done with it.

26. Totally agree with you.
I was disgusted when they renamed Wash. National after Reagan. To my horror, when I was in DC last June, I noticed the Dept. of Homeland Security (hate that name!) building is named after him too. :(

30. HeilHomeland Security sounds like something straight outta the Reichstag.
I'd expect it from a fascist like Bushco. That's what happens when we gave Bush the power to create agencies and name them.

Raygun and Bush soiled Washington and nothing in that city deserves to be soiled by being named for Atomic Ronny.
