Luntz, a pollster best known for his work on the power of language in politics, has worked mostly for Republicans. But he spoke Sunday at the Southern Governors' Association's annual meeting at the invitation of a Democrat - Virginia Gov. Timothy M. Kaine, the group's chairman - and his advice was bipartisan.

"The public has come to the belief that everyone has the right to health care, no matter what their physical condition and no matter what their income," he said.

The desire for reform is as strong in the South as anywhere else in the nation, if not more so, Luntz said, noting that the Southern states have the highest percentage of people who can't afford the care they need.

"Make no mistake," he said. "And as I say this I look you straight in the eye. The American people want you to fix health care.

"The public has come to the belief that everyone has the right to health care, no matter what their physical condition and no matter what their income," he said. I just wanted to savor that a little more.

NOW will they believe us, since Frank effing Luntz, major pollster for the Repubs, and master framer of debate (usually to our detriment) has confirmed it?

1. Republicans can fix health care
the same way that Sherman fixed Atlanta.

3. Our party has given them the opening. Eight months and no one
knows what is really going to be the end product.

2. Is that the actual meaning of "fix" or the neocon/Downing Street meaning of "fix"?
As in to "fix" the status quo in place so it never changes?

4. General FYI - 10 out of the 18 Governors in the SGA are Democrats
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Southern_Governors_Association

The article said 10 Governors attended the session, but not which.

The POINT is, even Frank Luntz admits that in fact, the general population is mad and wants healthcare reform. That is not the conclusion one would draw from the MSM in general, who keeps telling us BS about how Americans love their healthcare. If a major Republican pollster admits that reform is wanted, that's BIG in my book.

Republicans, MSM, right wing talkers, Fox News, Tea Baggers, are all promoting to advance the agenda of NO REFORM. If Republicans listen to their own pollster, they should panic completely. Personally, I think it's too late for them to recoup.

Democrats need to be BOLD and move forward with the reform THE PUBLIC WANTS!
