When will conservatives give up their Medicare...

...and go to the "free market" for coverage, or do they think government is not involved in Medicare, that it is not a public insurance program?

1. Just as soon as repug union workers give up the benefits their union fought for.
Same mentality, same hypocrisy. Belly-ache about their dues going to the Dems. Well then they need to denounce their benefits. By their reasoning the union shouldn't exist anyway. So just allow the wonderful free-market to take care of them. I'm sure the Chamber of Commerce has a benefits package just for whiners like that.

2. I don't think they can.
But maybe we should let them opt out. Let's see how well they all fare in the hunt for affordable private insurance coverage. I can't imagine that there is a person out there who is 65 or over who doesn't have some 'pre-existing condition.' Good luck with that.

3. Republicans apparently LOVE Medicare or at least would never want to change it.
Rep. Weiner introduced an amendment to the health care bill that would require the dismantlement of Medicare. Not a single Republican voted for that amendment..
