Will your Congressional Representative survive the 2010 Election? Mine will.

Republican pundits are trying to create the national impression that Republicans will either retake the Congress or at least enjoy great gains in the next election. One presumes they are trying to create a self-fulfilling-prophecy. My Congress man (Mollohan, WV-1) is safe and neither of my Senators (Byrd, Rockefeller) face election and although Senator Byrd's health is poor and he may not survive his current term his likely replacement (an Ex-governor) is a well qualified Democrat with a reasonable track record.

How is it in your state and district?

1. I think the Congresscritters are safe

mine is Rosa DeLauro and I doubt the pukes will even put up a fight there, they never do. The one at risk is Chris Dodd due mostly to his self inflicted injuries. I'm surprised he can still walk after shooting himself in the feet so many times.

In the final count though I don't think he can be beat by any of the pukes running against him. Simmnons is somewhat popular around the SE (Groton/New London) but he lost his Congressional seat and the rest of the State doesn't like him that much. The stock guy (Christi?) is from Fairfield and he and the rest of the rich pricks that live there are barely part of the State. I'm surprised they haven't tried to wall that county off to keep hoi polloi out of there.

All in all, I think CT is far too blue to elect a puke. CT isn't that smart however, everyone remembers the scam job that asshole Joe Liebermann pulled, and anything can happen.

He put his first term career on the line by voting for cap & trade & he got shouted down at his townhall on healthcare.

He unseated Chabot class of 94, & Chabot is running to win his seat back.

Luckily the media market for his district has awesome LTE & comment tools.

If you write an LTE I can get it funneled to the paper by another DUer who isn't afraid of the death threats. He's not that good of a writer & would welcome the chance to help.

didn't even face opposition by the Democrats in 2008, when it would have been most likely he would have gone down to defeat. I don't expect the Dems to mount an opposition to him in 2010, either, and will, again, vote Green since that party is the only one courageous enough to challenge him.
