My exchange with the man with a 1/20/13 bumper sticker on his truck.

He had just gotten out of his truck, and was walking by my car so I said,

"What's the 1/20/13 bumper sticker mean? Is the the day President Obama begins his second term?"

He said, laughing, "That's Obama's last day in office"

I laughed, and replied, "Not if you run the likes of Sarah Palin"

He said, "Oh, it won't be Sarah Palin"

I smiled, said "good evening" and drove off.

1. It is hard to grasp that this man detests Obama as much as I detest *Cheney.

I mean, I had my 1/20/09 count down clock, and just hoped to hell I would live to see that day come, because for me, it was a living nightmare.

Hard to believe anyone could have the same feelings toward President Obama.

4. here's what i think is rather sad

i never got a bush countdown clock, never bothered with the countdown calenders because i knew that he had to be impeached--i knew he had to leave office long before the final countdown date.

and it never happened.
never so disappointed over something in my life as i was with that. (well, possibly the 2004 kerry business--but still...)

5. It was "shock and awe" that drove me mad with rage, and that criminal, bush,..

..should have been impeached.

Us on the left and those on the right are complete opposites, it's amazing. We agree on absolutely nothing, it's almost like a "good guys vs bad guys" type thing, I can't think of any other way to describe it really. Irreconcilable is right, trying to find common ground is nearly impossible. Well at least I can take comfort in knowing that we are on the right side of the issues.

this story kind of reminds me, it a really odd way, of my little silent protests.

When I walk by a conservative/republican looking book (Glenn Beck, Ann Coulter, anti-Obama book, etc.) I simply flip it over so no one can see the cover :)

Makes me happy and can't get arrested too :)
