Mormons plan to attack equality bill in the UK

It seems the mormon church or if you like (the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints)are looking to de-rail a new single equality law in the UK. So is this the new battle ground the mormons are planning to attack the LGBT on, I think so.

I can see them acting as funder and facilitators of campaigns against the LGBT around the world for years to come.

In London they have already retained lawyers from law firm Devonshires solicitors a prestigious 150 year old company. In emails seen by PinkNews.co.uk, it appears the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is throwing its support behind efforts to exempt religious groups from anti-gay discrimination laws.

The email, sent by law firm Devonshires on behalf of the church, suggests religious groups should band together in a powerful coalition to fight the government proposals.

This bill brings all equality legislation into one place and while not perfect by any sense of the imagination it is a good foundation to work from for a equal and fair society.
