We have the fight of our lives before us
Our President is denying the will of the people. Will the people respond?

Today we were told that Army registrants would be sentenced to an additional 3 months in hell because no one else is signing up.

We are in a war which is causing pain and suffering and will have no good outcome, even the Generals say that. The people in Iraq who initially supported our effort want us out because we have so dismally failed them.

This President is so resolved not to follow the will of the people that he taunts Congress to only come meet with him when they will agree with him.

The only response is to impeach this President and his administration!

1. Yes this is the fight of our life time.
Nothing less than impeachment is acceptable.

They are doing everything but resort to the draft. Instead the keep soldiars there in harms way....All so they can say they didn't implement the draft.

...writing to plead with electors to not certify those s/elections?

what responses have you demonstrated, other than your above pounding?

4. Repairing the damage that this bastard has done will take a
generation. His errors have longlasting impacts on so many different aspects of society. His personal failure has become a national failure.

If there is a bright spot in all of this, the neo-con movement should be dead and buried after this...

5. The only way to save this country now is impeachment.
It's obvious this dullard will never admit any mistake, even when the Amurikin people are clamoring for us to leave Iraq, nor will he step down in disgrace of the many blunders of his administration.

I fear that we can't stand another 650 days of this incredible mistake called the Bush "election".x(

The sooner we IMPEACH & IMPRISON, the better!

6. With due respect...
I'm not here to defend Bush. I don't agree with the manner in which he has handled Iraq. But, it is not at all the President's job to 'follow the will of the People'. The framers were clear about the responsibility of the executive branch to remain dispassionate toward the emotions of the masses. The will of the People is heard and responded to by the House in the Legislative branch. No President has any responsibility to have his ear to the People's emotions. He ceases to adhere to his Constitutional responsibilities when he acts according to public sentiment. If we start impeaching Presidents for failing to be led by the emotional tenor and will of the citizenry, we have left the framework on which we are founded. The Federalist Papers hammered out these very issues because they knew mass sentiment would be a powerful force in driving policy if not checked and balanced by the constitutional assignment of authority in the respective branches. Congress has a responsibility to check the power in the executive branch. If Congress fails in this, we have only Congress to blame, not the power-seeking executive.

America's system of government is adequately checked and democratic when the executive is allowed to be robust and Congress does its job of oversight.

As for the war, no sane foreign policy goal is achieved by impeaching Bush.

7. I assure you....
we don't want Bush impeached because he refuses to follow the will of the people. We want him impeached because he's the most criminal president in our nation's history.

Insofar as a "sane foreign policy goal" is concerned, impeaching Bush would send a clear message to the rest of the world that Americans won't put up with a bloodthirsty, psychopathic leader any longer. Our reputation is in tatters because of this man and it won't be mended in my lifetime. Hopefully my children & grandchildren will be able to recover from the longstanding damage this administration has done.

12. Then I must have missed something
...in this statement:
"This President is so resolved not to follow the will of the people that he taunts Congress to only come meet with him when they will agree with him.

The only response is to impeach this President and his administration!"

And I'm sorry, but impeaching Bush would send a clear message to the world that the US is in chaos. That's a party for geopolitical actors like Syria and Iran.

Our reputation is largely in tatters because we allow Pakistan's ISI to fortify Taliban and al Qaeda while calling Mushariff an 'ally' and breezily dismissing Dr. Khan's proliferation activities that have now made for at least two rogue nuclear states. We're also showing wear in the image department for letting al Sadr have political power in Iraq. Then there is the establishment of an Islamic state on our dime, that ensures misogyny will prevail in Iraq, and sharia will bloom fully.

Bush is not a psychopath. bin Laden is a psychopath. The terrorist thugs that killed eleven members of my community are psychopaths. Bush on the other hand has allowed his presidency to be derailed by factions, excessive counsel from the wrong agenda-driven individuals, and political correctness, the latter of which has him parroting that a 1400 year old political tyranny, responsible for heinous imperialism and woman beating, is a peaceful paradigm that is owed deference at White House Ramadan dinners. Meanwhile, the jihad continues and Anbar is officially the home of forward deployed terrorist assets of states that don't want to confront the world's superpower directly.

Besides uselessly impeaching Bush, what is the foreign policy alternative to this cluster?

10. I want Mrbush impeached for NOT doing his duty, protecting the constitution.
I want him impeached for his attempts to get rid of the checks and balances inherent in the 3 branches of gvt. "no sane foreign policy is achieved by impeaching Bush" yet you say you are not here to defend him? Is his "foreign policy" sane?

I said that impeaching Bush doesn't improve US foreign policy. What is you policy alternative? Please don't tell me that it's merely impeachment. I have loved ones serving in this war and they need more to work with than that.

Do you really believe putting the stops to Mrbush's "foreign policy" would not improve that policy? What makes you say that? Why do you think it wouldn't?

I don't think it is possible to impeach Mrbush and cheney, but want their anti-american, anti-humanity antics stopped or slowed down.

"And I'm sorry, but impeaching Bush would send a clear message to the world that the US is in chaos." Which is worse? Sending a clear message to the world that the USA is in chaos, or stopping the chaos by reining in the president who has not fulfilled his duty in protecting the Constitution but instead tried to destroy it? Do you really believe the world cannot already see what Mrbush has done? You seem more concerned with the image of the USA rather than the acts that brought about this image.

11. Spoken like a true Federalist.
The man is insane, and the war he lied us into is insane. The framers of the constitution gave we, the people ALL the power. We even get to throw out the whole government and start over, if we so choose.

It has come to the place where someone in leadership better get us out of this insanity, or we will take our rightful place on their doorsteps. Remember? They serve at OUR pleasure.

14. Begging your pardon
The framers gave power to the people through representative government. We do not live in a pure democracy, we live in a republic. If you don't like the leadership, voice it in a voting booth and change it, and in the meantime, go directly to your House leadership to plead policy issues. That's the way it works. The executive branch does not give a hearing to the passions of the People. Read the responsibilities of the executive office. It's not about what you or I think.

It sounds like you take exception to the Federalist Papers. That's unfortunate. It's one of the most brilliant and important writings of western government.

15. You are absolutely right: The framers gave power to the people
through our representative government, and especially through the members of the House of Representatives who are our direct representatives. And now we want the House to do its duty as set forth in the U.S. Constitution. We want the House to bring Articles of Impeachment against Dubya for his many documented crimes against that same Constitution...and against the American people.

You have a problem with that?

25. Please read my post
You're repeating what I said about the Legislative branch vs the Executive. That was my only point. The executive branch is not responsible for giving the People its ear and acting on their passions.

If you want an impeachment pursue one. But the senate needs a 2/3 majority to convict. I assume you want that too. If so, what is the plan for the ME and the mess there?

27. Whose responsibility is it to come up with a plan for this mess?
I would say the people who got us there, wouldn't you?

Mike Malloy had a great analogy re: this. Imagine your friend asks to borrow the car keys to your shiny Corvette. He immediately hands the keys to a chimpanzee in the front seat. The monkey drives the car wildly down the street, smashing into trash cans, parked cars, houses, eventually crashing through a department store window and killing a couple of people and doing tens of thousands of dollars worth of damage.

Then your friend turns to you, indignant, and says, "Well, NOW what are you going to do?"

17. I do solemnly swear....tect and defend the Constitution of the United States
Presidential Oaths of Office
Each president recites the following oath, in accordance with Article II, Section I of the U.S. Constitution:

"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."

Has Mrbush done this?

20. I will not live to see the repair of this man's damage.
Think about that. It is so bad that, at 61, I will not live to see all of these wrongs righted. I have lived through assassinations of heros, Watergate, Vietnam and this man and his minions have done more damage that all of these combined. Can you know how sad it is for me to comtemplate this?

24. I'm with you here
I can't even keep all the numbers in my head at one time to count the amount and the areas of damage this admin has done . People bring up Reagan as the begining of all of this and this is true however we have never seen things come apart as fast as they have in the last 6 years .

It has been blatant mass destruction on every level from wars to the basic economy here in this country .

I went through all the murders of our leaders and Vietnam and all the failed admins only to find after there was some hope to find there is no hope left for me or many others near or past 60 unless you are very well off .

I am tired of a life filled with lies and crimes with some false hope held out like a carrot to keep me going .

What truly makes me sick is the american people who ignore this even with the proof held right in front of their face , as long as they are not effected where they feel it on a personal or financial level they continue to go on with the blind faith they will get through this unharmed .

Well it's all real to me , I certainly can't ignore the facts all hanging around so thick one can almost smell the hell we will face in the air .
