Your Private Doctor thinks of you as a patient...
(As does the Public Health system, Medicare, Medicaid, nurses, orderlies, candy-stripers, EMTs, etc.)
Your Private Health Insurer thinks that preexisting conditions are pre-exclusionary
Your Private Doctor thinks that preexisting conditions are problems that need to be cured
Your Private Health Insurer thinks that you should pay them and stay healthy
Your Private Doctor thinks that you should stay healthy enough that you don't have to see him/her.
Your Private Health Insurer would drop in a hot second for the cash, even if you're sick
Your Private Doctor wants to see you before you get sick, while you're sick and after you get well
Your Private Health Insurer thinks that the system works perfectly fine, even if you're sick
Your Private Doctor would rather have you perfectly healthy, despite the sickness of the system
