Man accused of making threats against the WH in stand off at Federal Bldg in LA

WESTWOOD -- A man accused of making threats against the White House led officers on a wild freeway chase that ended in a standoff outside the Federal Building.

The man was wanted on various local warrants, says police Sgt. Kevin Lowe.

His is also wanted for questioning by the Secret Service as part of a federal inquiry into threats against the White House, says Lowe.

U.S. Secret Service spokesman Ed Donovan says the suspect made a threat but would not give details.

Police have not publicly identified him.

But the Daily Breeze is reporting that the red Volkswagen Beetle is registered to Joe Moshe, a resident in the 8300 block of Creighton Avenue.

Cops are many, nearby, behind other cars. There's a robot next to the Volkswagen, and a cop with a shield or something crouching behind the pickup truck. Looks like they're thinking about doing something, but it's looked like that for some time.

what anyone's thinking. This has been going on for hours. The guy in the VW must be absolutely baking in that car. It's a sunny day, and all the windows are rolled up.

The robot hasn't moved. It looks like it has a camera looking into the VW. I think it's possible that the guy inside is dead, but if that's the case, why haven't the cops moved in?
