1. It was basically a Repub sell-out to big pharma
People payed in premiums to get a better deal, supposedly, on prescription drugs. There was no provision for negotiating prices with pharma, which the VA does as they serve vets. Therefore, people got a 10% discount on their drugs from Pharmacompany B, which then promptly raised its retails prices 10%. So you paid your part D premium and still ended up paying as much as ever for the drugs. Stick to generics if you can.
