He's on msnbc now. Sounds like a really, really good guy. Anyone from down there that can confirm my feeling? (Or deny it)

5. I just caught the end of it and I DARE anyone to say that racism isn't a primary factor
with those mobs showing up at town halls. I did see that the pig who stole and ripped up that woman's Rosa Parks poster was arrested. That's a good start.

9. It doesn't have to be *remotely* plausible in order for saying it to be effective...
There just has to be a lot of white folks going along with it - no matter how implausible - and saying it will win, just by popular vote.

It's wonderful being the foxes.

11. The Ethiopian cannot make himself white.
Scott showed a letter similar to one received by Rep. Brian Baird (D-WA), showing the President Obam-as-Joker picture with the message, "Death to all Marxists! Foreign and Domestic!" The letter contained a message for Scott, who is black: "To: NIGGA DAVID SCOTT / You were / You are / And / You shall forever be a nigga!" It added, "The Ethiopian cannot make himself white."

Another letter said that Scott will go down in defeat at the next election, "and any of your colored constituents ain't gonna stop it. The folks are not going to stand for socialized medicine, even though most negroes refuse to stand on their own two feet."

"But we have to understand is," Scott said, "we can't let these kinds of racist things, or that swastika, win this debate. And that is not gonna happen."

6. David Scott is the U.S. Representative for the 13th District of Georgia,
representing portions of 6 counties: Cobb, Clayton, Douglas, Fulton, Henry, and DeKalb.

Cobb County is where the sign was painted on the sign.

I call that "Newt Country"

23. Damn, that looks like an alien! Is that Vern (Jim Varney) holding it?
I'd probably freak if I saw one of those in person in the wild. We might have big snakes, alligators, and crocodiles here in Florida, but our native lizards and salamanders are small enough to be cute.

21. Is Marietta in Cobb County?
I accompanied a group of students on a tour of historically black colleges and we stopped there briefly before heading into Atlanta. It was the most uncomfortable situation I've ever been it. You could cut the racial tension with a sword.

Oh, well. Scott is an improvement, I guess, over my former "representative," Phil Gingrey--whose predecessor was Bob Barr. x(
