Maybe a way to shut up the anti health insurance fools - offer them a tax break

The fools who scream down reformed health care and health care financing in this country have one thing in common, they are slaves to the god of tax cuts. So offer them one.

Why not offer a tax credit, let me suggest $6,000 per year, to defray the cost to those who wish to keep their existing health insurance thus allowing a tax-funded public option to go forward. That way the public option won't cost them anything and they get to keep what they have if they like it - at either no or substantially reduced cost. Win/win for the fools and we get our public option.

I read somewhere that the public plan would just be an option like any other insurance. That you could choose to go with that plan or your private insurance. People who purchase private insurance would pay for that and people who choose public would pay for that. Is that not the case?
