FRAMING THE DEBATE: something the repugs do very well.
they don't even have to be rational, relevant or truthful.

yet, time after time, they frame the debate, and the M$M and even the elected dems fall for it, every time.

I was really hoping after this election we would not let them get away with this crap.

1. They're successful BECAUSE they don't feel the need to be rational, relevant or truthful
As one of them famously said - they define their own reality.

We are just as flummoxed as Alice in Wonderland is when she tries to have a conversation with the Red Queen.

5. Not exactly. They tap into our subconscious and especially our fears. It can be counteracted
but Democrats by and large seem unable to do so and refuse to hire those who can.

4. Actually, they are successful because they know how to use symbolism that engages our subconscious
It's quite possible to do the same for Democratic policy positions but our Democratic leaders are totally inept and they don't seem capable of hiring good marketing teams.

2. It's called "Marketing". Lakoff comes along with a new, fancy term phrase but it's MARKETING.
Getting people to pick your ideas, stuff, whatever.

6. They're successful because too many people choose not to THINK.
Framing the debate? Anyone who buys their shit is a certifiable idiot. There really is no excuse for this kind of stupidity.

8. That is becasue thier constituents will believe anything....
They don't frame the debate...they blow the debate apart with FUD laced dribble that gets adopted by the MSM as valid.
