I keep hearing them say that. But where is it coming from? Won't Congress have the same choice we all do??

1. The republicans wanted to make it mandatory that congress take the government option.

Gingrich tried to spout this bullshit on Stephanopolous (sp) on Sunday. Of course, that's not the health care plan everyone else is getting.

2. not sure about this site
Found this in a search. I don't know about the site or their interpretation of Tsongas' comment.

I thought I'd heard other congressmen say something similar but can't find them. I think an amendment to require congress to use the public option failed and that's what people are talking about (the amendment was proposed by reps who wanted it to fail as a publicity stunt)

3. It's always thought Congress has its own health insurance plan
I strongly believe they should have to choose from the same options they make available to the general public. Does anyone know definitively what their plan looks like? I do not.
