Need help with sources
I am working on a paper for one of my grad classes on inequlity. I want to use a quotation by Louis Brandeis, but am not sure of the source. I don't know if it was from a case or his work pre-SCOTUS.

Does anybody know the specific source of the following statement:

We can have democracy in this country, or we can have great wealth concentrated in the hands of a few, but we can't have both.”

Thanks for your help.

1. I looked for a while, but couldn't find where Brandeis said or
wrote that. Clearly, it is his quotation, but I can't find the original source.

Good luck!

3. I am not having any luck finding Lonergan's book, though
I will check with an old law professor of mine who collects old and rare books.

7. I will let you know if I hear anything.
The only thing that I can find online is a list of libraries that hold the book.

Art asked the U of I library to look up the quote on page 42 (or whatever).
