You *CANNOT* make this stuff up!!!
http://factcheck.org/2009/08/dying-on-a-wait-list/

Blah, blah, blah -- its the Canadian lady who insists she would have DIED if she had waited for six months for her surgery.

Who knows? I'm not a doctor, and doctors can have differing opinions, and when you are scared, I get that you hear the worst.

But here is the kicker for me:

She says "I wish I could release my medical files, but unfortunately I am in litigation trying to recoup my financial loss from the government."

What part of this does she *NOT* understand? She wants her government to pay for her health care costs (which she got in the United States). She *expects* to recoup her financial losses.

With American Health Care, its time to declare BANKRUPTCY!!! (But her system is bad.) :eyes:

These people are complete freaking IDIOTS!!!

:banghead:

1. It wasn't cancer

It was a benign cyst that she wanted removed.

She lied. We die.

2. To add to it, I think the wait was 3 months according to her early reports
On top of this, she probably had this cyst since she was a fetus. All lies

13. I hope not -- I was still in elementary school at the time! LOL!
I didn't even know there was such a song -- now I have to go home and listen to it! :)

Its an old-fashioned name, and I like it, but "Sweet as Apple Cider" is the one I usually get teased about. :)

4. She also didn't have a brain tumor, as she claimed in the commercial,
and wasn't going to die in six months. In fact, Mayo said she was getting appropriate care in Canada. I hate to tell her, but the government of Ontario is NOT going to pay her back. She's about to understand how the American system really works!

7. For someone who so enjoys the benefits
of paying for instant surgery she's trying pretty hard to get the Goverment of Canada to pay for the damned thing. Perhaps the cyst did screw up her reasoning center, she's sure trying hard to spin the justification.

9. Hey, I could have died too.
Had my doctor heeded the "wait and watch for six months" approach my insurance company recommended.

We didn't, and it was breast cancer.

12. ... Rathke’s cleft cyst is a benign cystic lesion that affects the mainly the pituitary gland and
may have occasional recurrence. It is the most common incidental finding of the pituitary gland as per the study of an autopsy series ...

Rathke’s Cleft Cysts are not true tumors or neoplasms; instead they are benign cysts. Rathke’s pouch forms as part of normal development and eventually forms the anterior lobe, pars intermedia and pars tuberalis, of the pituitary gland. This pouch normally closes in fetal development, but a remnant often persists as a cleft that lies between the anterior and posterior lobes of the pituitary gland. Occasionally, this remnant enlarges to form a cyst ... http://www.brain-tumor.org/69_Rathkes_Cleft_Cyst.html
