Completely shallow re Justice Sotomayor
I could listen to hear speak all day long. If ever she were the reader of a book on tape, I'd put it on my iPod.

I love her voice, her accent, her speech cadence.

I'm also really glad she's now sworn in and will be a Suprme for the rest of her life.

1. She has a deep authoritative voice.
Works well for a judge.

2. and on another very shallow level
I hope she gets a really good hair cut....someone with good advice for easy, care. But if it's a book on tape, then I suppose that doesn't really matter :)

3. I watched her take the oath this morning and was so excited and tearful
Loved that rocking hug she and her mom exchange. Just so warm and wonderful.

I like her voice, too. It'll be fun watching interviews covered on C-Span in the years ahead.

6. What a thrill for her mom.
Watching her baby sworn in as a Supreme.

4. I find her voice very soothing and comforting. Makes me feel like
she can really be trusted. She's probably unflappable, too.

7. It's easy to see why 'puke senators rejected her by, was it 31 to 9: too much class, too much
integrity, too much knowledge, too much intelligence, too much humanity, too much dignity, i.e., she doesn't meet the 'pukes' slime, ignorance, ideologically-warped tests. :D

8. Remember what Wangari Maathai's husband said when he divorced her

5. Indeed
Her voice is a little slow for me, ergo I wouldnt pick up an audio book because it'd probably max out around 40 hours. I would, however, not mind in the slightest her voice on my home answering machine.

If I could get audio of her doing the "Stupid" line from Billy Madison, I'd be in heaven.

9. Strangely, western civilization did not suddenly collapse as she was sworn in,
nor was the United States instantly overrun with Hispanics demanding special rights. I thought that was what was supposed to happen.

:sarcasm:
