A letter from a right wing friend of mine to Obama
A buddy of mine wrote the letter below to President Obama. What do you think?
--------------------

Dear Mr. President:

I respectfully request that I be placed on your "Enemies List" for the following reasons:

I truly believe that you are a Marxist.
It is very possible that your college professors successfully inculcated your belief and values system with the teachings of Karl Marx. I cite your own comments to Joe the Plummer, "I want to spread the wealth". This belief comes from the false notion that "redistribution of wealth" is justice for the crimes committed by Capitalists against the working man.
I also cite your long-term associations with Bill Ayers, a confessed communist and Rev. Wright, a Black Liberation Theologian as further proof of your Marxist tendencies. Sure, you have disavowed yourself of these men now that it was politically expedient, but you don't have a man baptize your children and sit in his church for 20 years while having nothing in common with that person. Additionally, you were happy to draw on Bill Ayers Chicago connections while seeking political office in the Illinois State Senator and U.S. Senate. To claim that you are not a friend of this man makes as much sense as saying Hitler was a friend to the Jews because he provided them free room and board at campsites all over Germany.
I understand the theories of Marx which my professors attempted to inculcate into me, but I wholly and completely reject Marxism in favor of good old American Capitalism, because Capitalism rewards individual achievement and promotes investment growth among people who are willing to take risks with their own capital in the hopes of improving their lot in life. You on the other hand have criticized American Capitalism as have your surrogates while ramming programs of a socialistic nature down our throats such as the Bail-outs which were targeted to help mostly businesses friendly to the Democratic Party.
Your attempt to take over Healthcare in America is as big a socialistic grab as we've ever seen since FDR forced Social Security on us along with his NRA, WPA and CCC programs that actually prolonged the Great Depression versus ending it as he is frequently and wrongfully credited for. Later LBJ came, who imposed his Great Society, which is when the deficits really began to really climb in America. Sure, you like to blame Reagan for high deficits, especially since the national debt broke the "Trillion" mark during his presidency; however, President Reagan's build up of the military was a plan to beat the Soviet Union and it worked. The only problem is that the Democrats controlled Congress and they continued to spend like drunken sailors during the Reagan Era. In spite of the out of control spending by the Democratic congress, the fact still remains that the Reagan Revolution produced the greatest growth in our economy since WWII. Socialism has been infecting America since the Great Depression of the 1930s. Many Americans were screaming for Communism during that time. FDR set a course in motion and incrementally America has move more and more towards greater centralized control and planning of the economy from Washington. The collectivist approach that you are taking has drawn criticism from our Socialistic European allies who are starting to move back towards individualism, liberty and away from the "soft" Tyranny of socialism.
I truly believe that you are a Race-baiter.
I only need to cite the Professor Gates incident as proof. When you stated at your press conference that you were not totally read up on the incident and that you were biased because Professor Gates was your friend, I was absolutely impressed with you for a moment in time, because it was at that moment that I thought you were going to state, "Therefore, I will hold off on answering this question until I've had time to learn all the facts." But no you went on a long rant about cops and blacks and racial profiling and accused the Cambridge Police of acting "stupidly". Well, Sir it was you who looked and acted stupidly with your comment and then you were “surprised” by the media firestorm. If you were truly surprised, that speaks to your lack of understanding and inexperience. If you choose to make that comment to take the focus off of your failure to pass Healthcare reform by August 2009 that speaks to your calculated dishonesty.
You made matters worse with "Beeristoika" but only because "your friend" Professor Gates who was clearly in the wrong didn't apologize. Had you convinced "your friend" to humble himself and apologize, then you could have at least saved face, but ultimately in the end your "stupidly" comment has set off a huge firestorm and picked at a racial wound that didn't need to be disturbed. Sure you took a calculated risk and assumed that Officer Crowley had done what many cops have done in the past. You assumed that Officer Crowley had racially profiled a black man for arrest. Unfortunately, for you, you were wrong and now you're stuck in the "race-hustling, poverty pimp" business with Rev. Sharpton and Jackson. Good luck in November 2012 with that white vote you enjoyed in 2008. I seriously believe that your Sec of State can make a run at you in 2012 and don't be surprised if she and Bill are already plotting your demise.
I truly believe that you can't handle the 3 AM phone call.
You are stepping all over Hillary Clinton in her role as Sec of State and keeping a short leash on her, which leads me to believe that you only chose her to keep a close eye on her as she was your biggest opponent in 2008. A woman you savagely attacked with the race card and sexism during the campaign. So much for an effective foreign policy team.
You dropped the ball with the Iranian voter uprising and didn't stand on the side of freedom and democratically-elected governments while the Iranian government slaughtered Iranians willing to risk their lives, fortunes and sacred honor.
You needed Bill Clinton to free a couple of American propaganda prisoners held by a terrorist dictator thug.
You are alienating our best and most long-term friend of the Middle East (That nation is Israel in case you didn't know) by tipping your hat to the Muslim world and apologizing at every turn for America’s (arrogance???) in dealing with Terrorists and for being the most powerful and wealthy nation on the planet, which has provided more freedom and wealth to human beings than any other nation-state history has witnessed.
You're demanding the reinstatement of a Latin American Leftist President who tried to turn Honduras into another Banana Republic like Venezuela.
You accepted a book that bashes America from the hands of a Leftist Dictator thug while shaking his hand and smiling hugely with him for the cameras and a candid world.
You demonstrated to the Muslim world that you are a subject to the Saudi Arabian Crown as his country holds the seat of Islam with Mecca. I'm sure your Step-Daddy, Lolo Soetero would have been proud of the sign of reverence you gave to the Saudi King. The problem is that you are the American President and you are to bow to no one except the Lord God Almighty and the First Lady in the residential quarters of the White House.
To conclude, I believe you're a Marxist, a race-baiter and a novice in foreign policy. That makes you very dangerous, because as your Vice President said of you at a debate during the Democratic Party Primaries, "The presidency is not something that lends itself to on the job training." Given my opinions, which I respectfully submit, it is proper and just that I be placed on your "Enemies List" assuming it is lawful for you to maintain such documentation.

Greetings, citizen:

Thank you for your letter. I have asked my staff to file under W for Wackos. Please don't hesitate to write again. Since we won the election in 2008, we can buy as many file cabinets as we need.

Sincerly,

Barack H. Obama
President of The United States

I have learned in life that good friends are hard to find and are indeed precious. He was there when I was sick as a dog, recovering from surgery. We do community service projects together. I'd defend him any time. I don't like his politics at all. But that will not ruin our friendship.

20. Unbridled Corporatism is the reason we're in the situation we're in today.
Does he not get that unless you're a lucky success in your own business, are friends or related to the people you work with, or a multi-millionaire, that pretty much any worker in this country is merely just a not-so-great bottom line away from getting fired no matter HOW hard they work or what degrees they get?

It doesn't matter anymore. A master's degree is no longer a guarantee of success. It's not. Spend all the money you want. Take all the risks you want. Get all the degrees you want. Doesn't matter. You're going to be earning the same wage for decades and your Asian counterparts earn a monthly wage that wouldn't even pay your mortgage. You can work as hard as you want. Doesn't matter. If the boss has to cut jobs, he'll let you go.

He's trying to praise a system that requires unlimited resources and capital in a world where both are finite. Corporatism doesn't reward anyone but the owners. And conservatives, I don't see you owning anything except a mountain of debt and a sack of apologies for your betters. It's getting way past comedic and strolling into pitiful.

21. I could understand
being friends with someone who disagreed with me politically in a sane and lucid and rational manner (in the same way that Henry Fonda(big liberal) and Jimmy Stewart (big conservative) were very good friends.

Of course, they stayed good friends because they agreed not to discuss politics, since when they did it resulted in a fist fight. But I am most certainly sure that Jimmy Stewart wasn't any kind of crazy like your apparent "friend" is.

I am sorry, but what your "friend" is spewing is outright misguided, blind, stupid hatred and fear mongering, not sane political differences. That's just the way I feel.

34. I've had people that I considered "friends" that thought like this
and it took a lot of thought to resolve the conflict.

It came down to the realization that I believe that the definition of a friend is someone that I love and respect, and if I couldn't respect someone then they were not actually my friend. I could be fond of them, I could enjoy their company to an extent, but they weren't really my friend.

He's not your friend. It hurts, I know. But life's tough.
