1. If they are unable to cap pay outs, restrict coverage or charge extra for conditions
it works for me.

2. I thought the insurance lobby was writing the proposed bills?

You would think so anyway since they are headed for a huge payday when we're all required to buy their products.

4. So why do so many support the bills and yet profess to hate the insurance lobby?

7. Congress stuck the words "Public Option" on it....
...and THAT is Good Enough for them.
To busy , too lazy, or too blinded to read the fine print.

10. The "Public Option" proposed by Edwards.....
...and championed by Howard Dean,

the Public Option that would "open the door for Single Payer",

the Public Option that would "keep the Health Insurance Industry honest",

the Public Option that would "drive down the cost of Health Care",

the Public Option, run by the government, owned by The Public, and open to ALL, that 72% of America supports.....

THAT "Public Option" is dead...dead....DEAD.

And it was killed by the "Centrist" Democratic Party.

5. too much, they should be done away with entirely. Move all that
overhead now being paid to acountants and whatnot to patient care.

8. The Health Insurance Industrial Complex had NO input on HR 676.
HR 676 (Medicare for ALL) was drafted by the Democratic Wing of the Democratic Party, and the Health Insurance Lobby had no part in it.

All the other bills have been written to pamper the Health Insurance Industry.
Even Obama admits that HR 676 would be the best and most cost effective way to provide Universal Quality Health Care for ALL Americans......
So the fact that we are even discussing a "Public Option" is a gift to Health Insurance Industry.

The most likely version of "reform" will resemble HR 3200, the current very weak bill in The House that contains something they call a Public Option, but it isn't really available to "The Public".
The MAJORITY of Americans who receive Health Insurance through their employer will be locked out of the Public Option, even if it is cheaper and offers better benefits.
