I guess I'll have to wait for the next president for a chance at something I have wanted

for a long time. An end to the "August recess" of congress and the White House.

A president working the entire month of August all the while asking Americans if they can take the month of August off every chance he or she gets could end it.

5. No because they consider going back to their states and districts part of their job re dealing with
constituents, having town halls, etc.

The Senate Finance Committee, I believe, is supposed to continue working. I'm not sure exactly where or how - staffs or by phone. I don't know. Hopefully, the 3 Committees in the House will be doing some work in combining the three Bills so they are ready when they come back.

8. Really. Bush was allowed to do whatever he wanted per the media.
And of course 9/11 happened after that. Our President is an extremely hard worker. I read his schedule sometimes on Politico 44 (the only thing I use those idiots for) and its crazy at times.
