The Federalists and Anti Federlist Papers were public discourse
The Federalists Papers and the Anti Federalist Papers were public discourse. The Lincoln Douglas Debates were public discourse. The disruptions we are seeing today are no more public discourse than mud wrestling. I just wanted to make that clear. The activities of these few people who disrupt is disgraceful, nothing less.

3. The context in which Ratification happened....
....was itself pretty rowdy. The documents endure, the memory of the riots fade until only historians remember.

We have been here before.
