You know the Media has permitted the an absolute disgrace
here.

There are at least 3 plans in the Senate. The Baucus Stall
Team (stall so nothing passes) have nothing on paper.

Yet 50% know they are for Obama Plan and 45% know they
are against Health Insurance Plan.

The Media have been absolutely irresponsible. From the get go
they should have said there is no plan. Too poll on things
that are not in existence shows their ignorance or their
absolute desire to kill health care.

Since I hit Lou Dobbs hard on some of those right wing issues,
at least he has presented the Swedish Health System , the
German Health System giving their positive points. Very fair on
this. He also reported that 92% of Canadians like their system.
They do have waits but the government there is now attacking
this problem. 92% of Canadians like their health care system.

Again, how can Americans know they are for or against a plan
that does not exist?????

1. Maybe the Stats Apply to Change
Perhaps the 45% are too stupid to know what can happen to them if something isn't changed.

6. I once thought that it was all spin. Then I semi-retired and Husband
turned up the sound on the morning TeeVee Nous instead of reading the captions.

I now realize that most of those twits cannot report the news because they have no understanding of the news. Talking Points are just so easy to digest between emoting lesson, hair, make-up, body wraps, exercising and basic beauty care.

Yes, they are skin deep.

That's called reporting by omission......
the fact that they don't bother to mention that there really is different plans out there, and for them to fail to explain what those 3 possible plans are, is exactly what is wrong with the media today.

I was fascinated as I watched that little Tweeter newsreader on CNN say.....(paraphrasing)"We we know that the media has been saying that the President has taken on too much, but what do the polls say?"

That's a direct admission that the media made a determination based on their opinion, and started repeating often enough, that many regular people have now bought into the meme that Obama is doing too much.

Those are the kind of small things that add up and lets you know that the media is there to affect public opinion, not to reflect it.

4. It's whether it's government run or not.
This country was founded on the principle of bigger government is bad. It's why we have the Bill of Rights, to protect us from the government.
Government run healthcare would represent a huge leap in terms of what government does.

If the government can't run Medicare and the VA system well, how can it run any health program well? That is the argument of the people against.

I believe there are better solutions where you combine free enterprise (which healthcare currently isn't) with a safety net run by the government. I don't like government running the whole process.

7. This just shows that the public has no idea about the details
Essentially 50% want to see the government do something. 45% want to see the problem resolve itself.
