3. What is not so much a coincidence....

the C Street Family refers to itself as the Christian Mafia, while there are in fact strong ties between those who engage in illicit arms trade and drug running with certain members of the religious far right. Remember Iran-Contra? Oliver North is both a member of The Family and the Council for National Policy. Wally Hilliard loaned $1 million to Jerry Falwell which never got repaid, allowing his shady operation to move to Lynchburg Virginia. The Religious Right was actively involved in raising government funds for covert operations in Afghanistan to defeat the Soviet Union. The resulting heroin trade via the Russian Mafiya is rarely discussed.
