Why do the female right wing Christians always sound so perky and cheery?

I listen to a lot of AM radio and often latch on to fundie stations - Protestant and Catholic.

They are much of a muchness, except for the saints and the sacraments and adoration of Mary, of course.

I noticed that the women show hosts are universally the same. Perky, cheery, laughing all the time, etc. they sound like empty headed cheerleaders.

Do they study one another and ape their style? They remind me of perpetually smiley followers of various guru's in the '60's.

Its quite unnatural and depressing. Normal people just don't act like that. That's why they come across as so artificial and phony.

I just can't get used to these cult like Catholics constantly trying to push the faithful to the right.

Just this morning I heard this women hosting a show and she sounded like a giggly teenager - always so sweet and obliging and terminally cheerful. I just wanted to puke.

No way are the male hosts so confined - they can be angry (at the hateful "left") preachy,etc. They can show a range of human emotions but not the women.

The only time the women can show a negative emotion is when the "pro abortion" subject comes up.

seriously, they do plenty of test marketing and focus groups, and they're trying to sell and push their product. they want the sheeple to associate right-wing ideology with happy smiling cheerful gorgeous women. it makes small, maleable male minds think they can have that and small, maleable female minds think they can be that. and by contrast, they make you think that being liberal women don't shower or shave or dress well.

my personal experience is that most conservatives are generally far more bitter than most liberals, especially as they get older, though i admit my own observations are hardly scientific or conclusive. that is, most conservatives, female or otherwise, are nothing like the happy cheerful hosts in the media.

regardless, their choice of female hosts is propaganda through and through, nothing new here.
