It would be nice to say 40% of Republicans ALREADY on 'government run health care"...

Take % of population that are Republican, % of population over 65 and extrapolate from there?

% on social security?
% on medicare / medicaid?
% on other 'socialized' programs?

Might make a nice soundbite.

2. You won't find those stats by political party, but you can find them by state. If you have a GOP rep
you could use the info.

3. it would be difficult to do in our state, because voters don't register by party.
you're either a registered voter, or you're not.

7. FYI If someone who has reached 65 is still working and has insurance from their job..
the employer provided insurance is the primary payer and is billed first. It's possible that Medicare might pick up some of the bill as the secondary insurance for things not covered by their main insurance but even so, it would not be most of the bill.
