How Disingenuous Matthews Is On Hardball.........
he started off his show with the disruption of Doggett's Town Hall in Texas and didn't comment on the fact that they were plants brought in to cause the trouble and get in on a viral video. The cable news shows fall for this and they show it like it was a legitimate demonstration.

They all want 'health care reform' to fail. They are ganging up on Obama. This will happen all through the recess.

1. Mathews is returning to his baseline politics: center-right, corporate-owned talking head
I didn't believe his election-year conversion to Democratic populist. That was just a convenient temporary mask. He knows who pays his salary.

6. I was working out in a room I don't get MSNBC. Watched Katie Couric instead
and CBS in definitely in the bag for the insurance profiteering crooks.

First she shows the protest at the town hall meetings and doesn't mention that it is an effort orchestrated by lobbyists to prevent intelligent discourse and debate. Then right after that they do a story about how the VA has failed a vet who lost both legs in Iraq. While I support that vet getting the care he needs, what they don't mention, is that if he had private insurance, he'd probably encounter even MORE resistance to getting good care.

It was pretty obvious that they are trying to paint a public plan as
1. very unpopular and
2. bound to fail because the VA screwed up this one guy's care.

3. I didn't see that at all.
My only previous awareness of those townhall meetings was a few subject lines on DU. I was only dimly aware but I saw they were clearly there to disrupt, not just to have their say.

I did like Chris' last word to Pat Buchanan, "Pat, did you climb trees as a kid?"

4. I agree. It was disgusting.
I just sent him and e-mail which included this link: http://thinkprogress.org/2009/07/31/recess-harassment-memo/

I am tired of reading about something for 3 or 4 days on-line and then finally hearing it mentioned in passing on some "popular" pundit's daily show.

5. Matthhews is a triangulator - always playing both sides against the middle.
I can't watch him anymore, he's such a games man.
