I surely don't want GM bailed out if they will continue contributing to what put them in this muck in the first place*. Especially after reading the 2009 article I put at the top of the others...
* offshoring in of itself can have benefits. But, as with everything else, shortsighted actions have dire consequences. Everybody does everything wanting instant gratification and cheap profits. Amongst other things. It's not about anybody being purportedly smarter than anyone else. It's about sticker costs, pure and simple.
