It's terrorism when a Muslim walks into a place and opens fire with a gun or has a plot to blow up a landmark, but it's not when we have right wingers walking into places and opening fire with a gun or having a plot to blow up a landmark.

When we have terrorism that is done with a context that involves Muslims then it becomes OK to talk about profiling, separate lines at the airports, interment camps, etc. So why does this discussion never happen when it's white people who do the terrorism?

We never had to waterboard Timothy McVeigh or Eric Rudolph, and even though Scott Roeder said that he knows of more terrorists waiting to strike if abortion isn't banned right now, we can be sure that he ain't on some flight to Syria to get tortured.

We talk about a nation that harbors terrorists is the same as supporting terrorists, but we continue to allow terrorists like Orlando Bosch, Luis Posada Carriles, and Michael Townley on our soil.

Should we have done something like waterboard Timothy McVeigh? No.

But does this all prove that the "war on terrorism" was a joke? Yes.

2. It's simple, if they look different or talk different, or aren't Christian, they are terrorists...
Until proven otherwise.

If they are white, speak English fairly well, and profess to be Christian, there is a much higher threshold.

Duh!

3. You can't have War on a concept or a strategy anyway.
The "war on drugs" is a joke, the "war on terrorism" is a joke. The use of the word "war" is for the sole purpose of stoking animosity and to dehumanize "enemies". We war against "those people" or "that rogue nation". Just flip the terminology and you can create indefinite fear and hostility against a perceived enemy or threat. The stupid thing is that in the "war on drugs" the enemy is us and in the war on terror, the enemy is fear. You can't win a war against your own society and you cannot defeat fear with fear.

Hypocrisy is nothing new to this country. Look at the way we treat immigrants. It is fine that they come here when we need something built or done that we don't want to do ourselves, but let that work be done and suddenly they are thieves, murderers, and a drain on society.

4. I don't think we should start bombing the Republicans.
So I guess we're left no choice but to stop bombing the Muslims.
