Robert Reich reminds us that nothing is more necessary than we all make sure our representatives hear from us.

Finally, you, dear reader, must contact your senators and representatives and explain why you want genuine reform -- incorporating the four elements listed above. Mobilize and energize others to do the same, especially residents of Blue Dog states, including Montana where Senate Finance Chief Max Baucus resides. And if you're able and willing I'd urge you to descend on Washington the moment Congress returns from recess. There is nothing quite as persuasive to a member of Congress as real live constituent demanding real reform.

1. Called idiot Blue Dog Rep. Mike Ross' Washington office first thing this morning. Read them the

riot act. (He's from my state, but not my Rep. I'm blessed with the only Repuke in the delegation.)

2. What "speaks" louder? A constituent call or a check from a lobbyist?

I have called and emailed my guys. I got a fairly detailed email back from Warner but with no real answer and just what looked like an auto-response from Webb.

The calls from constituents SHOULD matter more, whether they do or not, I don't know, although I have my suspicions.
