6. elahhhhna, I'll have to disagree with you on this one. Bigotry

is one serious discussion this nation rarely addresses, even though we have plenty to go around. Now, this Imus situation has presented the nation with one of those rare events in which discussion must take place. This is an important topic with a face on it, and it represents much of the injustice and incivility so many descry. This is not an issue a paternity test would resolve, or one which a month in a rehab spa will put a band-aid on. It is the essence of what we as a nation have permitted to occur and has ramifications for more than two races.

I think we can pause for a day, or two, and consider -- among other issues -- issues of racism, sexism, hate speech, use of public airways, and the power of the political and media elite who have enabled Imus for years.
