2. Sure wish many people could see this article, read what Otto Reich wrote from the State Department
in two short memos concerning some filthy propaganda he had created. Reagan used his treachery, so did George W. Bush. It appears he is also connected to this Honduras coup.

Not only did he get by with it, but clearly this deceitful practise of lying to the U.S. public through deliberate disinformation has been with us for decades by now.

People really need to know about this, if they have any interest in knowing what is really happening, rather than what is being created to fool them into supporting raw aggression against helpless people.

3. kicking for exposure
These two op-ed pieces are being prepared by one of our consultants and will serve as a reply to the outrageous op-ed piece by Daniel Ortega in today’s New York Times.”

People deny the existance of propoganda/misinformation campaigns.Hopefully articles like this will help people to wake up to what is really happening and what our goverment does.

6. Lanny Davis?!1 LANNY DAVIS?!1 Can't be---he's TOO BUSY!1
Edited on Tue Jul-28-09 09:12 AM by UTUSN
re: propaganda/rhetoric techniques, this link is chock full of pot vs. kettle. OOPS11 "Chock full" is an AMERICANISM (and probably misspelled)!1 That must be a clue!1

Let's see, there were TWO allegations of Americanisms in language as the basis for the true writer's being an American, the main one being that the U.S. was referred to as "America." Yes, I "get" that ethnocentric "Americans" tend to see the U.S. as subsuming the other countries in the North American continent, but, uh, it is still common anywhere to refer to the U.S. as "America." And, by the way, why are Americans called "Americans" and not "United Statesians"?!1

The commentator on the target piece must have just learned the word "innuendo" because she likes to use it, but somehow didn't let its meaning marinate the old brain cells a bit. She claims that "innuendo" is some HUGH proof of wingnut propaganda rhetorical practice. Plus, she says that an OUTRIGHT ALLEGATION is "innuendo"!1

And the Lanny DAVIS obsession really took me by surprise: I was going, "WTF?!1" until the end where the linkage to Hillary CLINTON was sprung. Hmmm. The last I heard Senora CLINTON was supporting timber-harvester ZELAYA.

As for the contention that "innuendo" being a prime tool of wingnut propaganda usage, uh, the rhetorical techniques of propaganda are used by ALL activists for ANY ideology. Proof of this would be in decontructing the language of Huguito's core followers: Attacking the messenger/source; ad hominem; belittling/ridiculing; sarcasm. They SELDOM prefer INNUENDO because it's TOO TAME.
