Ix Indoor Amusement Park Cleveland is criminal .
This afternoon I took my children to the IX indoor amusement park in Cleveland.
I went outside to sneak a smoke and I started to talk to two employees there.
One was from South Africa and another one was from Bosnia.
They were telling me that they are paid 225.00 a week .
They work seven days from sometimes 8 am to 11 pm.Their boss subtracts taxes. These are supposed to be refunded to them. They told me their boss will not refund them. They got this job via an employment agency in their countries. They signed a contract stating 400.00 weekly plus housing. There also was not a single minority working on any of the rides. The gentleman from South Africa said when he was hired it was white only that was considered at request of Mid America. He said the reason was to have "clean wholesome workers" not the typical "carnie".
The really sick thing is that they only have the food vendors at the IX to choose from.
A sliced banana is $3.50,coke $4.00 and bottle water is $2.00.
How is it possible that Mid America (part of North American Midway Entertainment) gets away with this?

1. See if you can't get this informaton published...
either as a LTTE or by calling the newsroom. This type of information is critical to undermining the stranglehold of corporations.

2. I am starting with contacting Dennis Kucinich.
Then working my way through all the cleveland reps. Thanks for the advice on the press.
I am worried though that none of the employees would say anything. They seem live in a shadow world where they think they have no rights. The fact I was outraged on their behalf seem alien to them.At least that was my impression.
