Can you remember all the way back to September 2008?

Every day the front page of GD had several threads bitching about gas prices.

Now there's nary a one.

Is $2.65 (or whatever it's costing in your neck of the woods), acceptable?

Are the oil companies making significantly less profit?

Or do we just not notice because it's not as painful to our wallets?

4. Hell no.
If there were an oil company CEO on the ground in front of me I wouldn't piss on him even if his heart were on fire.

5. No, more so at Exxon/Mobile in fact, given their new global warming denial PR plot.
And although I react to $2.19 as 'wow, that's cheap,' I also remember being upset a few years back when its price spiked to almost $2.00. And of course I remember the $3-$4 gas last summer.
