Your attempt to diminish it sounds a lot like every right wing radio broadcaster.
A well known professor from a highly respected university is arrested in his own home for back talking some rube cop. That's news. It's news because it's 2009, and we all know Mr. Big Shot Cop would never arrest a white man in his own home in the same neighborhood for the same thing.
Black men in America are treated like shit by cops, and this story proves that nothing a black man can do will ever prove to many racist cops that such a black man is deserving of equal treatment.

I appreciate your view and understand it.
You accuse me of "attempt(ing) to diminish it". You're wrong. I stated my personal opinion in a reply. I am as entitled to it as you are to yours. And it is worth exactly as much.
