MSNBC's Dan Abrams (Son of Floyd) Programming Chief says Fox News has Attacked them to Fire Imus!
Edited on Mon Apr-09-07 08:21 PM by KoKo01
I kid you not! Danny doesn't disclose he's the Programming Chief of MSNBC and was the one who had input into his suspension ...but he comes on (like he's still working for Court TV when folks loved him) and says "Fox News has begun an Attack on us here!

Now he has a bunch of folks dissing Sharpton and promoting Dannies own position...while STILL NOT REVEALING that DAN ABRAMS is NOW A BIG HONCHO AT MSNBC!

It's all because of a FOX ATTACK!

MEDIA WHORES IN MELT DOWN! GOING ON NOW!

Anyone here of Big Media Campaign by Fox to FIRE IMUS? I don't watch Fox but didn't see it posted here on DU.

3. Did any DU Watchers of Fox hear a Call for Alert to Fire Imus?
Edited on Mon Apr-09-07 08:24 PM by KoKo01
I was on DU alot today and usually DU Faux watchers post when they see bad stuff coming. I never saw anything but "Little Danny" (Son of Big Floyd..NYT's Lawyer) is out there saying "FOX DID IT!"

4. Sorry to disagree, but I think it's relatively common knowledge
that Dan Abrams is Programming Chief of MSNBC. Why should he disclose it? Just wondering.
No snark or flaming intended, okay? :hi:
PS IMO, Fox has been "attacking" MSNBC for some time now, prolly because Olbermann names BillO-justifiably-"Worst Person IN The World" so often.

5. Actually, Dan Abrams did FULL disclosure on the show
as to what his position was...and showed FOOTAGE of Faux News talking heads (including O'Reilly) attacking MSNBC over the Imus comments. So there.

6. Make Hay While The Sun Shines...
Koko, I don't think Dan had much to say in the Anus matter...that came from on high. He saw a chance here to turn shit into apple butter after watching the network get pummeled all day long...and played the Faux card. Why not? What else could he do?

The real elephant in the room here is how much a joke the entire cable medium has become. It's all surface and little substance...and run by a cadre of elitists who are quick with the knives when one of us dirty fuckin' hippies speaks up, but when its one of theirs, all is quickly forgiven...time to move on. It's time to call them on their bullshit.

I'm a strong advocate in free speech, but this is not about the verbage but the person who delivered it and the credibility he's been given by the corporate media.

Cheers...

:hi:

PS...I just heard Mahrer's line "you don't lose a job over one lousy joke". Bullshit! I worked for over 20 years in broadcasting and be assured if someone cracked the mike and said what Anus did, he'd be gone toot-suite. I saw them fired for saying far less...one got canned after he made a joke on the air about the owner of a local food pantry's kid having a snotty nose. Mahrer's being used...and in waters he shouldn't have jumped into.
