The Dems need to start blaming big media for the Iraq war
Edited on Mon Apr-09-07 07:54 PM by billbuckhead
I don't think the PNAC-Bush-Cheney-Halliburton-Enron crowd could have pulled off this disasterous Iraq occupatation without a cheerleading media. For years the Republicans demonized the "liberal" media with mostly lies and distortions and had great success. We should tell the truth about the "corporate" media and marginalize them forever with the blame for the Iraq war.

1. Agreed
The lack of any real discussion about the war or the given reasons for it was remarkable (although my own media was only very slightly better).

2. they've acted as enablers for the (so-called) WoD, the WoT and Bush Doctrine
and in doing so, I hold them just as accountable as this criminal administration for where we are now.

3. You know they can't do that.

The first time somebody really made it a point, their candidacy would end. Now, WE'D all know it was still going, but ABC/CBS/NBC/Fox could just report that they've stopped campaigning to take care of a syphilis problem.

They have complete control, and they know it.

4. What if all Dems did it, like boycotting this debate?
At least make them admit their mistakes.

5. Boycotting one debate on the network they know won't give them a fair shake isn't very brave.

Now, I of course COMPLETELY agree that the media and its absence is a major issue and all candidates should be angry and vocal about it.

BUT, I don't see anybody calling out any channel that they'll be paying millions of dollars to run their commercials.

None of the Democratic candidates were going to run ads on Fox anyway.
