1. The Senate - our fucking critters - are the #1 threat facing America...
We've got the "more" part of "more and better Democrats" - we REALLY need to work on the "better" part.

2. Gotta give the republicans & media more time to "kill it"
WTG, Harry:puke:

what a worthless, spineless P.O.S.

What he should have said is:

"The senate will not be taking an August break, until this is done."

6. Geroge Washington: "Why did you pour that coffee into your saucer?"
A key goal of the Framers was to create a Senate differently constituted from the House so it would be less subject to popular passions and impulses. "The use of the Senate," wrote James Madison in Notes of Debates in the Federal Convention of 1787, "is to consist in its proceedings with more coolness, with more system and with more wisdom, than the popular branch." An oft-quoted story about the "coolness" of the Senate involves George Washington and Thomas Jefferson, who was in France during the Constitutional Convention. Upon his return, Jefferson visited Washington and asked why the Convention delegates had created a Senate. "Why did you pour that coffee into your saucer?" asked Washington. "To cool it," said Jefferson. "Even so," responded Washington, "we pour legislation into the senatorial saucer to cool it."

7. May Every Senator...Especially Democrats Get An Earful in August
I'm all for waiting til September (not any longer)...get the Congresscritters and Senators out of the beltway and away from the insurance company lobbyists and other beltway masturbators. Let them hear from those who gave them their jobs...US. I've already got the date when my Congresscritter will be doing a town hall in August and plan to be there with others to demand her vote for a public option.

This is a chance for everyone to get out and get in their faces...show them the real need, the real stories, the real suffering...also let them know that votes and their futures will be riding on this vote.

11. So Reid is the one who stuck a knife in Obama's back
I was thinking it would be Baucus, but Baucus was just the distraction so Reid could get behind the president and shiv him.

13. Tell me his senate seat is part of the next election cycle, he's got to go and soon.

Where's the jammy-clad man now?

Last year, voters worked hard to rally and get behind a man we thought was about us. To be blocked at the first pivotal turn by a member of your own supposed crew speaks to how deep rooted and pervasive the pilfering is.

It seems to me the thing they need time to consider is how to keep the wrong feet in the door!

Shut the profiteers out Mr. Reid.

Don't expect these Americans to let you sell us out any more. If this is how you intend to represent our interests, I suggest you show a little mercy and draft legislation that grants every citizen a life time supply of vaseline, starting at birth, while you have a senate seat.:grr:

14. Reid is up for reelection next year
The leading Republican candidate, Lt. Governor Brian Krolicki. Mr. Krolicki is currently under indictment for misappropriation of state funds.
