Wow. Obama's Wed. press conference.
I recently have posted about how I hear all kinds of negative arguments against his health plan from the media and have heard hardly any positive news.

He seemed to be totally aware of ALL the negative issues people have been bringing up and had an answer for each one of them. And, as is his style, he didn't disparage the alternate views, but admitted that they were very understandable.

I am beginning to believe that we might actually GET a workable health plan.

As it is, I receive unemployment checks right now and they are twice as big as what they used to be. Almost half of what my regular salary was.

He remains a pretty impressive guy to me!

1. He's such a wonk -
he really loves this stuff, and he's GREAT at it, and he enjoys it.

It shows.

Isn't competence an absolutely wonderful thing?

He's standing pat, and he's not moving until the Congress comes along.

I'm betting on our President........................

2. I hear ya
This guy is governing in the midst of unbelievable forces against him and like you said, your unemployment is making a difference. Those of us on the utter last rung of this fucking ladder feel it. I'm just glad he's the President.

3. I agree with what you have said
people are complaining as usual.

Howard Fineman is complaining that Obama looked tired. Well no shit, that's what happens when a person actually works long hours to get a job done.

5. Why would anyone expect MSM to offer anything like praise?
They're trying to topple him by faint praise or none at all.

Nobody in the mainstream wishes him to succeed.

Worthless bastards!
