Here is my message

Lou Dobbs throwing his lot with the Birthers is worst form of demagoguery and panders to basest of instincts.

I will refuse to watch CNN until that miserable excuse for a human being is booted out of its studios.

Shame on CNN to let that pathetic man inflict his abominable views on unsuspecting viewers.

Update:

I never watched CNN anyway ..got my news from Rachel Maddow ... But Heck...

2. I have an unpopular question
First, I believe Obama is a citizen and the birther hysteria is manufactured to rile the base.

Second, I don't understand why Obama doesn't authorize the release of as many copies of his birth certificate as the birthers are willing to pay for.

15. Here's something funny for ya.....my daughters "long form, vault copy"
birth cert. was wrong. Her's said that her race was "black"....my son's original cert said that his mother (me) was hispanic. My husband and I are both lily white folk. Took me time and money to get it corrected, but I still have the originals. Birth certificates mean squat.

So you are correct, sir. It bears repeating...NOTHING will convince these kooks because they don't want to admit that "that one" really is our President.

They remind me of a bunch of 5 year olds having a temper tantrum.

5. One simply does NOT pass out certified copies of one's birth certificate
Edited on Wed Jul-22-09 04:41 PM by kestrel91316
to just anyone, because from there, identity theft is child's play.

And these people will not accept any mere photocopies of certified copies. For that matter, they appear unwilling to accept certified copies either. Apparently only the original paperwork with a doctor's original signature, and not a copy, will placate them. So there is no point.

Let anyone who wishes to sue him do so. When and if it makes it to court, his attorney presents a certified copy of the birth record from HI and he wins the case. Period. Certified copies are LEGAL PROOF.

10. That's already been done, if he has a passport.
The State Department requires such proof in order to issue a passport. There is no greater level of proof, absent some evidence of fraud, that can be proffered.

11. What is on the birth certificate
that would enable identity theft?

16. A certified copy of a birth certificate, combined with other sorts of ID which
are more easily faked, is how one might obtain, for instance, a fraudulent passport.

The embossing and certification statement is LEGAL proof of the document's authenticity. That is why states are so very very picky about just who can get a certified copy of a birth record.

But I think you probably knew that. Want pepperoni?

6. If I were in his position, the last thing I'd do is CONTINUE to respond respectfully to such bigots.
His campaign put this to rest for any marginally sane person long ago. To invest ANY time whatsoever in reacting is to let such bigoted crazies take control over his time and attention FAR beyond reason.

8. He already released it.
What he released is the same document anybody would get if they request a copy of the birth certificate. It is acceptable by the state department for obtaining a passport and is prima facie evidence of birth in any court in the nation.

The Birthers claim it's a forgery even though Hawaii officials, including the Rapublcian governor, have verified its validity.

17. Please refer to the Hawaii Vital Records website for information on
who is legally permitted to obtain certified copies of birth records. And if you don't like what the law is, perhaps you can go to court in HI and try to get it changed, lol. DUMB FUCK.

http://hawaii.gov/health/vital-records/vital-records/index.html

"Vital records (birth, death, marriage, and divorce certificates) for events that occurred in Hawaii are received and preserved by the Office of Health Status Monitoring, a unit of the Department of Health. In Hawaii, access to vital records is restricted by statute (HRS §338-18)."

"Certified copies of these records may be issued to authorized individuals and used for such diverse purposes as school entry, passports, Social Security participation, driver’s licenses, employment, sports participation, survivor’s benefits, proof of property rights, and other needs."

9. If there was a scintilla of a faint notion this could be true .....
Then Hillary Clinton in the primaries, and The Republican Machine in the general, would have let this go?

Nah, this is nothing but racists desperately trying to delegitimize the first black President of the United States.

They shouldn't be catered to in any way. They should be identified and in the case of Lou Dobbs, FIRED!
