Pres. Obama – “Please don’t Squander the chance of REAL Change”
Edited on Sun Jul-19-09 02:22 PM by FreakinDJ
Dear President Obama

America rallied behind you – “Yes We Did” and we elected you, some thing you yourself thought impossible just a few short years ago. Now we ask that you do the impossible yet again.

JOBs for American Workers

Pres. Obama – Us here in the Working Class have been under siege from Republican reforms ever since Ronald Reagan was elected to office. Our Real Income has gone down and the American way of life is threaten more every day by powerful Corporate interest imbedded in Washington D.C. The current trade policies of the United States are directed with the singular goal of enriching Multinational Corporate interest. They proclaim to be beholden to the average investor while working class 401K investments have been depleted by corporate raiders.

Our current trade policy dictates the wholesale abandonment of Blue Collar Jobs and the American Manufacturing Base. While China has boosted huge gains in its manufacturing sector, America sheds jobs at an alarming rate. Please put an end to predatory practices and unfair tariff policy while America still has a chance to recover her once proud Middle Class.

Health Care for ALL Americans

Please do not abandon your promise of a “Public Option” nation wide. Medical Insurance Corporations have lied to the American people for too long and have promoted scare tactics as a means to control the direction through which American Health Policy is formulated. The majority of Americans today to not trust insurance companies and insist a public option be made available to them.

2. I'm more worried about the fleecing done by hospitals, which in turn adds to insurance costs too...
but insurance companies never seem to have a bad quarter, made by upping fees and premiums by double-digit percentages every year, then wondering why more people get sick... excess stress is a factor too... or if a previous doctor screws up or any number of things...

3. They need to toughen the criteria for "Non-profit" status
for some of these hospitals

When you pay your board of directors each a $5 or $10Million a year salery, its is pretty hard for me to consider them a "Tax Exempt Not for Profit" entity
