and DUers immediately give it the "U"? Why? What is so wrong with this thread that someone has to puke on it?

This is the problem with the "U." DUers do not explain why - and spare me the "not greatest page." Most post don't get there, so why not just ignore it, let it sink, move to the next topic? Why the cowardly desire to stick a knife at someone's back and never to say what is so wrong with a thread?

I have posted about it earlier this week: perhaps the owners can give us the stats but I suspect that barely 0.1% of all posts get to the "greatest" page. Perhaps even less. Even before the "U." So why are DUers so obsessed about preventing a post to get there to give it a "U"?

I still think that a post should be locked for five min before anyone can "U" it. If you have such a great desire to U it, come back after five minutes. The "rules" specifically forbid going after another DUer or bad mouthing him, etc. Well these anonymous "Us" are a nice way to circumvent these rules.

There are a few shitty unrec'ers. It's easily fixed with time on individual threads. No biggie. The sky is not falling.
