More open calls for violence and treason from Freeperland
From this thread: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2294651/posts

Stockpile more ammunition and prepare to participate in a revolution because it is the only way to save this nation.

---------------------

I sure would like to see state GOP organizations stand up and call loudly for state sovereignty and really communicate to people and businesses that civil disobedience (non-payment of taxes) is indicated when radicals hijack the federal government.

----------------------

Nice to see you’re publicly surrendering. Freep-mail me your address so we can send someone to pick up your ammo and weapons. We don’t want them falling into enemy hands.
------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------

From this thread: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2294529/posts

The Democrats CANNOT impose something large numbers of people don’t want—and I don’t think those “large numbers” even necessarily have to constitute a literal majority.
There simply has to be a massive movement of nay-sayers, unafraid of involving themselves in literal RESISTANCE. NOTHING is unrepealable.
We will be entering a new age in our civic life.
THe age of civil disobedience FINALLY becoming part of the pattern of our daily lives.
I always hoped it would come sometime in my lifetime.
And it’s just around the corner.

-------------------------

If there was ever a good argument against Democracy, our current Congress is it.

-------------------------

1. Whatever the issue de jour is, they are ready to take up arms
I notice they don't go and actually fight in a war, though.

7. True.
They are a lot of hot air, at leas in most cases. I am sure there are some real wackos who might do something stupid, but most republicans who talked the toughest on the Iraq invasion, never served a day in the military, and when called on their lack of military service, or asked why if they support the war so much they don't join up and go over their to fight, simply rant and rave, and make all kinds of excuses as to why they don't join up. They are chicken hawks just like Bush and Cheney were, and they don't have the guts to stand up to anyone who might knock them on their ass!

31. Nor did they act when their gov't imposed warrantless wiretapping
- disposed of Habeas Corpus,
- the set up of a shadow gov't, breaking laws without care,
- the expansion of their neighborhood militarized police department,
- threatened our national security by an unprovoked war on a sovereign nation,
- threatened our military in war zone by not providing the tools needed to keep them out of harm's way,
- threatened American's safe keeping by the use of torture and rendition,
- the theft of our treasury to fund war profiteers,
- the theft of our treasury by not budgeting the wars

... just to name a few true threats to our democracy.

Nothing these asshats say or do is credible unless or until they acknowledge how the previous administration crippled this country; and can offer serious and sincere solutions.

they're idiots.

I doubt we have much to worry about from 99.5% of the 101st Chairborne Division.

Watching them implode is kind of funny though.

4. They must think they'd have an easy time imposing minority rule
If they go out starting violence, all it would do was put them in further minority status and likely certify them as terrorists. It is so frightening that they think they have a right to overthrow a democratically elected government and impose minority rule.

6. They're legends in their own minds.
Which, admittedly, probably isn't that tough in something that small. I'm sure their fantasies give them the emotional comfort that the poor little victims need. Even now, they are imagining the moment when they can shoot liberals in the back from the safety of underbrush.

Fortunately, they are invertebrates.

"My guess is that one world order is coming and the Lord God of Hosts is setting the stage for Israel to center of hatred for all nations that hate Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour and coming King of all the earth for 1000 years after the 7 year prophesied tribulation as the Scriptures plainly teach to those who call Jesus Lord.

America will be just another of those nations that left the God of Israel to serve another god who is no god and to become just another sinful decadent poor nation who will struggle daily to eat while the evil do well. And America will probably go up to try to destroy Israel with all nations that hate Israel and who will be destroyed by Jesus the Christ as the end of the 7 year tribualtion in the final war of Satan and his armies against God and His Israel.

Then shall Israel and the remainder of the earth by ruled over by the LORD Jesus of Nazareth for 1000 years to fulfill Scripture and prophecy therein. America is in Scripture I believe in the following verse.
“The wicked shall be turned in hell and all the NATIONS THAT FORGET GOD.”

And I sayeth unto you: "Blessed are the grammar teachers, who are able to impart upon their students the proper placement of commas and the importance of correct spelling, because then; and only then, will we have a resounding affirmative reply to that age-old mystery: 'Is our children learning?'"

Amen.

10. Violence? Possibly. Treason? Doubtful. ...and they're appropriately exercising their rights.
(and, as they see it, their responsibility)

They believe that the government is actually now acting against the will of the people. There has been a lot of conjecture that the founding fathers supported insurrection in the event that the government ceased to represent the will of the people.

The posts you referenced called for people to prepare for action. They did not directly call for illegal activity. Like their viewpoint or not, that's not illegal.

As a generalization, freepers may "talk tough" more than we do, but they have the same rights to do that as are guaranteed to everybody.

Criticizing somebody's speech is not the same thing as denying them freedom to speak.

29. Not entirely correct

Fully understanding the point about whether or not the Founders advocated revolution as legitimate, it remains the case that advocacy of the overthrow of the US government by force or violence is, itself, illegal.

http://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/uscode18/usc_sec_18_00002385----000-.html

Whoever knowingly or willfully advocates, abets, advises, or teaches the duty, necessity, desirability, or propriety of overthrowing or destroying the government of the United States or the government of any State, Territory, District or Possession thereof, or the government of any political subdivision therein, by force or violence, or by the assassination of any officer of any such government; or

Whoever, with intent to cause the overthrow or destruction of any such government, prints, publishes, edits, issues, circulates, sells, distributes, or publicly displays any written or printed matter advocating, advising, or teaching the duty, necessity, desirability, or propriety of overthrowing or destroying any government in the United States by force or violence
...
Shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than twenty years, or both, and shall be ineligible for employment by the United States or any department or agency thereof, for the five years next following his conviction.

need to remember that the Civil War did not go their way the last time. Their numbers have dwindled considerably. They fancy themselves in the majority when in reality they are a small number of the population. I always get a kick out of the tea party numbers. They are a few dozen in cities that have tens of thousands of people. I think in all they claimed 600,000 total across the US participated. Obama got that at ONE rally in ONE place at ONE time. They are heavily outnumbered and they know it.

Its only with the magic of Diebold and ES&S that their numbers are inflated.

34. They're Running Out Of "Outrage"
This stuff is starting to get old now. Yep, we know the Freeper world has gone to hell, they're mad and gonna rise up. Ya know, put down the Cheetos and go to the target shooting range. That'll show us.

Honestly, the volume is up at such a high only two things can occur. One, and my prediction and hope, is they talk themselves off the abyss once and for all; alienating themselves so far from the political process that no politician will want to be associated with them and those that do are both marginalized and ridiculed. They still haven't figured the more strident they get the more ugly they look to those who don't drink their kool-aid. But so be it...let their tantrums continue, just like the spoiled brats. They haven't learned the lessons of the netroots...good!

The other option is to turn to violence that won't accomplish anything but the complete destruction of their little parallel universe. Change doesn't happen quickly, but change in this country continues...the 50's and 80's are no longer chic.

41. This is the best description of the utter ridiculousness of this I've seen so far:
as per a commentor on DKos:

So, they're proposing "an armed revolution on behalf of private insurance companies."

That's it in a nutshell. It makes me want to laugh and cry at the same time.

They've finally flipped their collective lids, because, *GASP*, our Democratic leaders are trying to make sure that if an American is sick, they get to see a doctor.
