Hou. Press: "Cover Me": She thought she had health insurance.

Just saw this cover article in this week's Houston Press.

"'Last night I had a bad night,' Kathern Cathey says. 'A real bad night.'

"The grape-sized tumor on her pancreas was causing even more pain than usual, so she chased the Vicodin she's been taking with a pill from the bottle of morphine she just had filled. She waited for the pain to subside. And waited. In the end, she just cried herself to sleep, as she's been doing for about a month now."

This is criminal that healthcare is considered a luxury in the U.S. and "insurance agencies" like this lead people to believe that they might be able to afford healthcare with them.

1. I've seen ads for this company on some channels here in OKC.
In the last two weeks I've also seen an ad stating that a government health plan was now in effect and you could enroll today!! It was medical insurance, and no one should be without insurance!! I can't remember the name of the company, but a look at the website shows a statement at the VERY bottom of the page that "this is not comprehensive medical insurance." It's basically the same kind of racket as Cinergy, and it's all a lie besides.
